“To be what we are and to become capable of becoming is the only end of life.” ~ Robert Louis Stevenson

Many are seeking their life purpose, looking for meaningful careers, ways of being of service to a needy world. Taking courses, meditating and seeking some more. The thing is that we speak of purpose as if it is something to be attained or configured, when the reality is it is just about being who you are.

Our purpose in life is to live. Fully, with gusto, with love. To experience all that makes our hearts sing. To explore ourselves through the talents we develop, tasks we undertake, the challenges we face. The jobs, careers and relationships we engage in are all ways of fulfilling our life purpose, they are not our life purpose in and of themselves. Be love. Be joy. That is your life purpose.
