“Once a person says, ”This is who I really am, what I am all about, what I was really meant to do,” it is easier to decide how to spend one’s time.” ~ David Viscott

The answer for many to ‘how do you spend your time’  is reacting to all the stimuli that comes at us – in relationships, in traffic, in jobs and in health. We are conditioned to be reactive rather than proactive. This keeps us ever feeling out of control, and subject to the whims of fate. What can we do? How can we buck the tide? It is simple. Don’t look so hard. Don’t try so hard.

Feel your way into who you are. Your emotions are the most sensitive and deliberate governing system you have at your disposal. The trick is clearing the chatter of the mind so that our emotions can come through with bell like clarity. The heart is the centre of your emotions and if you let your heartfelt emotions guide your choices between this ‘feels good or right’ and ‘that feels difficult or uncomfortable’ will soon be navigating the sea of life like a seasoned sailer, tacking to the wind. Who you are is already within you. Listen. Feel what you are meant to do. And then spend the rest of your blessed life doing it!
