All men should strive to learn before they die what they are running from, and to, and why. ~James Thurber
If we could answer these three simple questions in the one, ‘are you here now?’ our purpose in life would be revealed, we would suffer no stress and we would know the joy of self-fulfilment. However, we seem to strive for things that distract us from these questions and participate in thoughts and activities that pretend these questions don’t even exist.
It doesn’t serve any one of us to discover these answers just before we die because if they remain unanswered we will have never really lived. Instead we will have lived our lives in avoidance or fantasy and uncertainty. Past or future rather than the delight in the only moment we have and that is now. And the uncertainty of the illusive ‘why’ of our life? Just be. Here. Now.
Me agapi,
Marilyn
